I have always wondered how the rich and the famous have kept themselves inspired or motivated. Or is it simply a case of having those good "vibes"?
I am finding difficult to find inspiration for myself and my team to grow and get stronger but I have plenty motivation for myself to grow and achieve larger goals. I do know that I generally have a good "vibe" when something feels like it is moving in the right direction.
Right about now my team's inactivity I feel was due to restrictions. I have changed that recently and I feel that this might give us what we need in order to get the wheels in motion again. Time will only tell as they say. :)

Moving on?
The question of late I have been asking myself is it time to move onto something new. With Dota 2 coming in the near future and my clan being fairly in active I am asking myself should I be looking for a new clan.
I have made some really good friends and have been able to generate some great activity with the guys I have been involved with but alas we have slowly but surely become less and less active. It has become increasingly frustrating as I know that we need to be more active but no one is listening.
Soon our clan will disband if it goes on at this rate. Something I don't want to happen, yet it will most likely do so.

Life and Changes in it
As our clan has grown we have also become more volatile. We had some in fighting and have lost 1 great player because of it. It is my fault as I know I am a harsh Captain. In the mean time I have been struggling to find a replacement, mainly because I haven't been as active as I used to be. Some it was my moving house, some of it was because I had new lady around for a while.
Now she has removed herself from the picture and I am a little demotivated, which is unusual for me. I usually have a self motivating personality and can pick myself up pretty quickly. I know will get over it but it was a part of my life that was interesting and a lot of fun. Now I need to refocus myself and get back to basics.
Anyways hopefully will be able to pick up a new recruit for our team soon and allow us to once again enter into competitions as I feel we are not growing and being active at the moment. So check ya later.

Dota and It's ever changing format
I just got to read a pretty insightful blog on gosugamers that went into detail of the recent changes and how they can impact the current metagame of the Dota competitive scene.
The main reason I have been a stalwart follower of Dota is the fact that the creator's of dota have always evolved the game and made changes to make the game interesting and allow for more dynamics and strategies. It never seems to stop changing and I would never want it to. The dota scene has always been great for me and it has always allowed me to see personal growth in a different light.
People never see the gaming scene as a positive effect on people but over the years I have seen it change people for both the good and bad. People change but I the game has stayed dynamic and insightful. I have always been impressed at how much we can learn about ourselves when take a stand want to be the best.

Twilight League Season 5
So after a month of swiss style competition and competitiveness our clan did amazing well for it's first major comp against the better teams out there.
We still have a lot of space to grow but I couldn't be happier with the results and the boys as we made a massive effort in achieving these results as fast as we did.
The top 4 teams are going to play a knock out stage to see who is the best of the best! Looking forward to seeing the results from these games.
Keep it up gents!

MSSA
Clan -PsY- came second at the MSSA gauteng provincial event.
A total of 4 teams entered the gaming even which was round robing event. We played each game with a lot of skill and effort but came out second best to a more experienced and capable Clan DUC.
The first game was against Pro NHS, a team from Northcliff high. Team NHS made some really good hero choices that in general combo very well but was really weak to the current International style of play of doing a trilane. We focused a lot on overpowering, harassing and ganging their high damage hero's which allowed us to easily farm up our core players and making it easy for us to play push mid game. We won in convincing format but it was a great lesson and allowed us to try out a strat.
The second game was played against DB also a high school team that picked general over powering hero's that had no combining capabilities. Although their players were very skilled, they couldn't compete against a superior strat and hero combination that allowed us to finish the game in convincing fashion.
The 3rd game was played against DUC who has played together for 4 years and is considered one of the better clans in SA at this time. Their game knowledge and style of play has been proven in numerous occasions and was our biggest challange to face. We tried going for an early game ganging trilane with some nice combo hero's but was easily counterd by a very good strat from DUC. Their game was to focus on mid to late game and chose hero's to be able to farm and do massive disruptions to our combo. Looking back our hero combo was easily countered by a Tidehunter and heal combo by dazzle. Their team was able to win a very convincing match which was well faught from our side but lost to superior knowledge. We learn't a lot from that game.
Thanks to my fellow team members and for their hard work and effort and I look forward to competing with you guys again.

March Update
So been really busy. Getting a lot of things in motion and I think it will all lead to good roads in the future. The busiest part of my life has been my growth in the clan. Learning to calm down and not rage especially at team members is definitely the hardest learning curve of being in a clan. Being made Shaman and getting more responsibility has also allowed me to try and curb my more aggressive tendencies.
My Clan leader has created a website to represent us which is great as we have a large Community and I honestly believe we have a great team with room for growth. Check out the site here.
Otherwise just trying to work hard and play hard. See ya soon

Clans
Ok, so the new year has come and it seems like it could be one of the biggest ones for me on a personal level. I have decided to join my friends Clan -PsY-. They are a great motley crew of people with a zest for competition and fun. Just my style.
So far it has been a little rough going with with people not being able to get online, a little smack talk between clans or clan members and the like. I know I am not a perfect example as I get trigger happy with my mouth as fast as the next person but what I can't get is how some clans just have no respect these days.
We had a game recently against another clan where our clan showed complete manners and just tried to have fun. Their clan ended up mouthing off how great they are and what kind of rubbish players we are, yet they haven't once played against our A squad. That kinda puts me in mind of how small minded gamers have become and how poor sportsman they make.
It is sad to see how the gaming and sports worlds are becoming more and more big mouth talk and less and less sportsman like. I see the potential for gaming world wide to be as huge as Soccer one day but with the way people behave in clan match's or competitions, I wonder how well it will be received by the general population at large.
I have invested a large amount of time and effort into the gaming industry. I have been around the block helping a lot of the big events run by Arena77 and have seen how a lot of the big time clans for Counter-Strike and COD are well behaved and the guys show up and play a great game but aren't arrogant about it, yet the dota world which has the biggest potential just continues to be big mouthed players that can only talk smack to other players. Pitty as they have the greatest potential to change the way the gaming industry is looked upon in SA.
In the near future with the potential for Dota2 coming out, LOL and HoN running around all of which are dota makeover's or revamps the gaming world is becoming largely aware of Dota or the game style of dota, which is high paced with great strategies and skill required. It is a game that continues to captivate and shows the skill of players online. All I can hope for one day is for the community for Dota and the like learn to be a little aware of how the talk to others.
Well that is my rant for the day! Cheers.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
So christmas and the new years has come and gone. Everyone has either had a great holiday season or you had a quite one with friends and family. I personally had a good one with my personal highlight taking a beautiful lady out for dinner.
Anyone got some new years resolutions? Haven't got any other than to make this one a great one.

Online Text Based Games
Simply put this phenomenon has been around for a long time and I have had my fair share of these games. My current 2 favorites are Tribalwars and Torn City .
Most of these games are slow going and have a real time play involved so that you could end up playing for years on the games. Which isn't surprising as these are real simple games that take real time into account.
Simple games like these are fun but they lack in graphics that the new games have. Although I am starting to prefer these text based games purely because of their playability. You could spend days and hours on these games where as in the newer games like COD: Black Ops you could only spend a few hours with it and then your bored.
Or the newer games end up being purely an online pay game that cost's an arm and a leg, like WOW which are really awesome but you can only play it online. Might as well get a free online game and be done with it then.
Oh well that's my rant for the day. :P
My conclusion Textbased = Awesome! :P

Manga
One of the most recent things I have been doing is reading a lot of Manga. One of my biggest past times is to watch anime. Since I haven't had my machine for the last 3 months ( hair pulling of note ) I have been downloading the Manga for a lot of the anime series that I have watched or am watching. Turns out that is I am starting to love the manga just a little more than the Anime. The stories are full and descriptive but also allowing ones imagination to go wild a little. I look forward to going deeper into my manga in the future as they are extremely good!

Quite Time
After nearly 5 or 6 months, since just before the Soccer World Cup here in SA ( It rocked!) I finally have 2 weeks in a row of quite time. It feels weird to not have something on the cards for the weekend. I can usually give a friend a call and be off on some gallivanting drunk or gaming session but this time round, I haven't got anything. It is weird, but also good. I needed some recuperation.
Although that puts in a spot as I have nothing to do....

Sorcerers Apprentice!
What a great movie this was. Had the chance for a relaxing weekend this time round. So I decided I would go and watch the new release with Nicholas Cage Sorcerers Apprentice. As most of you will remember the cute movie with Mickey Mouse where he had a little incident with the brooms, it was great to see that this had come through to the new movie which had some great humor as well as special effects to it.
It is by no means my favorite movie of the year but it sure was a cracker of a movie and one I would re-watch in time.

I saw the cheekiest advertising yesterday, something that I haven't seen the like of in SA for a long time. The main reason being, competitive advertising in SA is "frowned" upon.
Everyone in SA is aware of the biggest sharks called Telkom and their closest competitors Neotel. Driving along the N1 to Pretoria just going through the Midrand area, Neotel has one of their main offices setup there nice and visible in Orange.
Now Telkom decided that they would put an advert on a billboard not more than 200m away stating " Beware the Orange". Well not in those exact words but that is what they said. I find that extremely hilarious as well as annoying at the same time.
Firstly because Telkom are such assholes, who have been raping this country for years with their expensive telephones charges and interenet solutions. Now they have to balls to stand there and advertise such a blatant add against Neotel which I might have been a right step in the direction to cheaper internet and telecoms.
Oh well, now that we know that Telkom is starting to worry about their market share, especially since a lot of service providers are undercutting them and a fair amount of new options coming out faster each year, but why would they go to such lengths as advertising something so grossly inappropriate.
Anyways, my rant is off for the day. :P

Ahh what a weekend! Went to the braai, which ended being a beer pong night with some free swimming lessons with my cloths on! Slept over and woke up to the breakfast of champions, more beer! :P
Then went to putt-putt and had some chow. After wards we cruised through to Sexpo which was ok with a few interesting sites. :) After wards we went back and had some more beer!
Slept over again and then went from their to more putt-putt and then a good dose of pc and games at the Rage Expo!
After wards went home and watched The A-team, Salt and The Karate Kid....
What a hectically packed weekend! phew!

National Heritage Day
Also known to us South Africans as National Braai day, where one gets to enjoy our national past time of taking some chops, steak or some Boerewors and cooking it over an open flame!
This people don't even seem to be that aware of it, which is a little sad as this has always been a great time for family and friends to get together and talk about rubbish. :P
Either way I am still looking forward to this one mostly because it also means a long weekend for me.
